The return of Minnesota’s mild, beautiful, slushy forty degree weather can only mean one thing, soccer season is on it’s way.
Earlier today, the USL soccer pyramid announced the divisions for it’s upcoming 2023 season, and fans of Minnesota’s various clubs: Minnesota Aurora FC, Minneapolis City SC, St. Croix Legends, and newcomers Rochester FC; will find themselves facing new and familiar foes.

Starting with the Aurora, the USLW runners-up will once again play in the Heartland Division, which they won by thirteen points last season, alongside returning members Green Bay Glory, Chicago City SC, and Chicago Dutch Lions FC.
They are joined by newcomers to the league, Bavarian United SC, RKC Soccer Club, and Minnesota’s own Rochester FC, who will be fielding both a USLW and a USL2 team this season.
USL2 has also seen a massive shake-up within their divisional alignments including within the Deep North Division.
Both the divisional champion Des Moines Menace and runners-up Peoria City will be headed to the Heartland Division this season, clearing the way for a new champion from this years crop of teams.
Returning to the Deep North Division this season are Minnesota’s Minneapolis City SC and St. Croix Legends, as well as FC Manitoba and the Thunder Bay Chill. They are also joined by newcomers Bavarian United SC, RKC Soccer Club, and Rochester FC.
Now that we know who’s playing who, the when and the where are the next big step right?
